How We Serve
In keeping with our primary mission of hearing health, our club has approved a number of donation requests to fund specific hearing equipment needs for individuals with limited financial resources. Our club currently owns and maintains several hearing diagnostic devices in use in local schools.
Our club also uses the money we raise for a variety of other needs and causes in the local community. Here are some of the projects and needs we have contributed to:
Our club has made sizable contributions to assist the Bemidji Area Boys and Girls Club with their transportation expenses, most recently as a lead sponsor for their van which they use to transport children to and from the club.
In recent years, our club has been one of the largest donors to Camp Sertoma, a Brainerd-area camp which serves hearing impaired children in northern Minnesota.
Recently, we donated a full body armor kit to Bemidji Shield 616 - a nonprofit providing better protection to our local law enforcement officers. We also donated to the construction of the Paul Bunyan Inclusive Playground on the waterfront next to Paul and Babe.
We also make annual contributions to the Bemidji Food Shelf.

Sertoma... A curious word until three very important words come together in unison: SERvice TO MANkind. The Bemidji Area Sertoma Club is dedicated to service to our local community. Our focus is hearing health, and we are here to make a difference.
